This Privacy Policy explains how ProfitVerdict ("ProfitVerdict", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at profitverdict.com and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.
When you sign in via Manus OAuth, we receive your name and a unique account identifier (OpenID). We do not receive or store your password. We use this information solely to create and maintain your account and to associate your saved data with your identity.
When you run a profitability simulation, we collect the inputs you enter (product category, platform, cost of goods, selling price, shipping cost, CPC, and CVR). When you save a simulation, we store the full input and output data linked to your account. When you submit outcome feedback, we store the actual CPA you reported and any notes you provide.
Every time any user runs a simulation — whether logged in or not — we collect a stripped, anonymous record containing only: product category, platform, CPC, CVR, COGS, selling price, and net margin. This record contains no personal identifiers and cannot be traced back to any individual. This data powers the collective intelligence benchmark system that shows all users how their numbers compare to real market data.
When you submit a video URL for analysis, we send that URL to our AI provider for processing. If you are logged in, we save the analysis result to your account so you can revisit it later. We do not store the video itself.
When you upload a screenshot of your ads manager, we send the image to our AI provider for metric extraction. The extracted metrics are stored in your account linked to the simulation you selected. The original screenshot file is stored in secure cloud storage (S3) and accessible only to your account.
We collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use advertising tracking pixels or cross-site tracking technologies.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting on other platforms.
The anonymous simulation inputs described in Section 1.3 are used to compute percentile benchmarks (P25, P50, P75) per product category and advertising platform. These benchmarks are displayed to all users as market reference data. Because this data is fully anonymised at the point of collection — no user ID, email, IP, or session token is attached — it cannot be reversed to identify you. By using the Service, you consent to this anonymous contribution. You may opt out by not using the Calculator, but this will prevent you from receiving benchmark insights as well.
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Manus OAuth | Authentication | Name, OpenID |
| Google Gemini / LLM API | AI analysis (ad creative, product intelligence) | Video URLs, product inputs |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Email, name, payment details |
| AWS S3 | Screenshot storage | Uploaded screenshot images |
We use a single HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is set with SameSite=None; Secure to ensure it works correctly across devices and browsers on HTTPS. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or persistent fingerprinting.
Account data (simulations, analyses, dashboard entries) is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual simulations at any time from the My Simulations page. Anonymous benchmark contributions are retained indefinitely as aggregate statistical data and cannot be deleted individually because they carry no personal identifier. If you wish to delete your account and all associated personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will process your request within 30 days.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, HTTP-only session cookies, server-side JWT signing, and access-controlled cloud storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users of any data breach as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.
